walking is definitely the thing that's changed my life most in the last 5 or 6 years. that habit started when i got my first dog—she needed walks so i "had" to do it "for her". now, if we skip a day of walking for whatever reason, my soul feels so restless. walking is so powerful (for the mind *and* body) :)
wasn't sure if that even made sense... not sure we "want" to speed up the soul? but how else do we catch up or maintain the pace of acceleration? i think you're right—lots to wonder and ponder
i think when we venture offline we can still find meaning... but mostly, i think it lives within ourselves—which is why it's so important to take breaks from the constant influx of data and information being pumped into our heads 24/7 by algorithms
That is very valid but for instance whenever I travel to Iran from the U.S for a few weeks I feel more alive even though I still spend a lot of time online. But there are so many other issues:) so there is this dilemma between finding an environment that nurtures the soul or filtering noise on a personal level in a place that doesn’t.
"your life is running a few seconds ahead of your soul" - The soul must come along too. It's a bit like traveling fast the whole time: you see a lot, but you don't understand anything, because you can't relax and process what you've experienced. That way, you remain driven and just chase after impressions.
walks without my phone are the best.
they help me get to the truth of whatever thoughts i'm wrestling with.
such a good habit to get more clarity.
keep writing super smart and creative ST

will now wonder over the next few days about speeding up the soul

made perfect sense!
so many thoughts now after I let it ponder for the day
“you think you’re choosing.
but mostly, you’re just vibing.” I keep thinking that some other part of the world might exist where things have meaning still. Is that naive?

we don't stop to process or digest anything these days... we just allow the algos to pump more, more, and more into our minds
That's not healthy. No wonder so many people are restless, disturbed, and suffering.
